Born in Poznan, symphony - and choral conductor graduated from the Academy of Music in Krakow, the class of prof. Jerzy Katlewicz. As a holder of the Internationale Bachakadmie scholarship attended to postgraduate studies conducted by Hellmuth Rilling in Stuttgart/Germany. Paweł Osuchowski was active as a chorister and conductor with the Polish Radio Choir and Orchestra in Krakow and with the National Philharmonic Choir in Warsaw. In 1993 he founded the Baroque University Orchestra Consortium Iagellonicum at the Lagiellonen University in Krakow and conducted this ensemble until 2000.
He is living in Szczecin since 1999. During the years 1999-2003 Paweł Osuchowski has been working as a choir chief and conductor at the Castle Opera in Szczecin.
Since the year 2000 Paweł Osuchowski is the art director of the Choir of the Technical University of Szczecin Collegium Maiorum. With this ensemble he is working on many masterpieces of the ancient and contemporary music, from Pękiel to Penderecki, performing many concerts a cappella as well as oratorios, conducting the ensemble in many European countries, as Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, the Ukraine.
Also in his home town, Szczecin, Paweł Osuchowski undertakes many activities to popularize music by cooperating with the Szczecin Philharmonic, the Town Culture Center in Police, the Baltic Theatre in Koszalin. Since the year 2000 he has been creating and performing a cycle of educational concerts for children, as well as some promenade symphonic and oratorios concerts. Since 2004 Paweł Osuchowski is the performing art director of the Szczecin Festival of Ancient Music.
Osuchowski was performing as a guest in many important music centers of Poland conducting the symphonic orchestras, for instance in: Czestochowa, Jelenia Gora, Katowice, Krakow, Opole, Olsztyn, Rzeszow, Słupsk. He is cooperating with the vocal ensemble A'Cappella Leopolis and the Manor Ensemble Consortium Sedinum.
His music curriculum interests are wide spread and contain the traditional Grigorian choral as well as the Italian renaissance, German and French baroque and classical music and the world classic of the 20th century.
A very special rank in the repertoire of Paweł Osuchowski takes the music created by Polish composers: starting with the early symphonies by J. Gołąbek, over the works of Stanisław Moniuszko, Karol Szymanowski, Roman Maciejewski, to the music of Witold Lutosławski, Wojciech Kilar and Krzysztof Penderecki. His artistic personality finds the best expression in conducting the vocal-instrumental forms like the opera (Mozart, Rossini), and oratorios, from Bach to Stravinsky.
Paweł Osuchowski has been taking part in many CD- and radio recordings, which receive good rewiews from the best polish musicians.
In December 2006 he has been invited to take part in a project of publishing and recording music from the archives in the St. Pauls' convent at Jasna Góra. He conducted the first recording of the oratories of Dominik Nun and Wawrzyniec Neumann.
Paweł Osuchowski stays a loyal fan of the tenfold Polish champion of football, the team of Wisła Kraków.
